ISIC Australia welcomes new distribution partner, Flight Centre.
Making the ISIC products more accessible to students, youth and teachers across Australia.
As the exclusive representative of the ISIC products in Australia and New Zealand, SAVVY Youth & Student is thrilled to announce the launch of a new multi-faceted partnership with Flight Centre in February 2022 across Australia.
With a reputation as one of the world’s largest travel retailers and a core purpose ‘to open up the world for those who want to see’, Flight Centre will become the largest distributor globally, based on their large network of branches who will be able to issue the ISIC products.
Students, youth and teachers will be able to walk into any Flight Centre branch across Australia, make a travel booking enquiry and purchase their ISIC (International Student Identity Card), IYTC (International Youth Travel Card) or ITIC (International Teachers Identity Card). All at the same time.
“ Making Student Life Better, is our global mission, making the ISIC products more visible and accessible to students, youth and teachers play a huge part of our objectives here in Australia.” said Jodie Kilian, Managing Director, SAVVY Youth & Student.
“As travel resumes, we want to ensure every student, youth and teacher out there is able to access the ISIC products should they want to and make the most of them on their travel experience. Supporting student and youth mobility and inter-cultural experience sits at the core of ISIC’s values for almost 70 years now, and we believe Flight Centre aligns well with this value. It’s exciting to know that we will have almost 300 locations across Australia that a student, youth or teacher could go to, to find the right travel package for their trip, but also be able to have their ISIC issued too, making it very easy and convenient”
“Travel is formative, and that rings extremely true in young travellers. Seeing the world for the first, second, third or whatever time, is something that really shapes you,” said Kelly Spencer, general manager of Flight Centre Australia.
“The pandemic has been crushing for young people looking to take an international gap year, or head overseas solo or with friends. It’s also added an extra layer of complexity. At Flight Centre, we recognise this and want to make travel easy and accessible again. Because, who wants to spend their holiday stressing about whether they have the right vaccine certificate or travel insurance? Our partnership with ISIC is another way we’re doing this, and we look forward to making the travel dreams of many young people come to life again.”
As part of this partnership, ISIC Australia will also be able to more broadly provide their cardholders with additional student and youth benefits that Flight Centre plan to offer within their student and youth strategy. ISIC has over 150,000 benefits already available globally, but welcome the additional travel offers from Flight Centre.
This is a very exciting partnership for both brands and we look forward to seeing how many student, youth and teachers lives we can make better from it.
